The poly lumber material used is dense, heavy, and durable, capable of preventing fading, rot, warping, and dents. This allows ACUEL furniture to be placed outdoors in various weather conditions without the worry of mold, mildew, rot, or the need for refinishing. Compared to ordinary smooth polyethylene (PE), the HDPE poly lumber used in ACUEL chairs has a more textured grain, closer resembling real wood. Additionally, our HDPE material is more resilient and less likely to break compared to polystyrene (PS) poly lumber.

ACUEL's Adirondack chairs are constructed using high-density polyethylene (HDPE) and marine-grade stainless steel hardware, a durable composite material that can withstand the elements of sun, snow, salt spray, and strong coastal winds, outlasting traditional wood. The thick polyethylene material is unaffected by various climate changes, including strong winds and sunlight. Assembly is easy, with all stainless bolts aligning perfectly, and common stains can be easily removed by wiping with a normal rag. The oversized seat, tall backrest, and wide armrests provide a comfortable seating solution for rest, relaxation, and rejuvenation.

Unlike solid wood, PE is stronger and more weather-resistant. While partial DIY assembly is required, the backrest comes pre-assembled from the factory, and the entire process takes around 15 minutes. The Adirondack chairs are suitable for permanent use in pool sun ledges, as the HDPE material will not fade or rot. No additional UV protection is necessary, as the Polystyrene (poly lumber) is inherently anti-ultraviolet and fade-resistant.
